Western muslims fighting western soldiers - should be shot?

I believe that when British, canadian or American Muslims are caught on the battlefield, instead of being taken prisoner and being brought back "home", i believe that they should be simply shot in the head on the battle field in case they come back to the west to cause problems.

your thoughts?

  1. I agree

Why did they come here if they don't like the country anyway.

  2. Any British, Canadian, or American found supporting the terrorists physically should be tried for treason, if any are caught sending info that could hurt us to these terrorist organizations they should be considered a spy and shot.

  3. If they are illegal combatants under the terms of the Laws of Land Warfare (Geneva Conventions) they could be. That is precisely what happened to illegal combatants in past conflicts. In the case of this Long War, however, we have found it to be advantageous to keep them captive and get valuable intelligence from them. Still, some of those who we have released from Camp Delta in Guantanamo to their host nations have engaged in terrorist activities again.

  4. There are AT LEAST TWO Western AL-Queida "Freedom Fighters" in captivity at Guantanomo. They'll probably be serving the same sentences if they go to trial. I hope they get the same punishment.

Nobody is asking any questions about "citizenship" on the battlefield....ANYONE firing on US soldiers needs to be SHOT DEAD in the same manner as anyone else.

  5. Capturing radical combatants and jailing them is a waste of time period. They are not going to change their minds about the evils of the west because the west is evil. Read the history of the British Empire and the treatment of natives by America and Spanish settlers, evil. So there is only two choices shoot them all or surrender because they are not going to accept any other option than victory.

  6. I agree with you .  Hotel Gitmo is getting pretty crowded as it is.  Some would say that they need to be interrogated for information but I don't think water-boarding is a technique only limited to the island of Cuba.  In Vietnam information gathering was a much simpler process.

As far as shooting them... well if the are from the west including the ole USA that would make them a traitor.  And I believe the penalty for that is still death.  Just have to make a court of the moment to make it legal.  They should get some of those JAG officers out of the A/C and put a rifle in their hands.  Call it battlefield court.

  7. Fair enough in combat but I get the feeling you're talking about an on-the-spot execution rather than taking someone prisoner - a massive breach of the Geneva Convention and a moral failure for the country involved.
