Westie lays under sofa ?

My 3 month old westie puppy really loves our couch ! It's definately her favourite spot in our house...but it's not what you're thinking, she doesn't love laying on top, she likes it underneath.

Whenever we take her out of her crate, she greets us, licks our faces, and snuggles, then she speeds through the living room and runs under the couch. She loves it when we chase her around the sofa. She often peeks her head (from underneath) around the corner, like a game of tag.

Do any of your puppies do this, or is my westie the only puppy who loves laying below the sofa?

Yes! my american eskimo/ japanese chin does this. we even pulled the couch out and found newspapers like a nest. It is probably cooler down there and they feel safe. Maternal instinct perhaps?
