Westmead Adonis, Brizzle Blue to battle hard in Britsh Bred Two Year Old Produce Stakes - Semi Final 3 at Swindon
The spectators at Swindon are all set to witness a nerve-wracking contest between Westmead Adonis and Brizzle Blue in the Britsh Bred Two Year Old Produce Stakes - Semi Final 3, to be held at Swindon on Wednesday, July 18th.
Both hounds have been unbeaten over the past few weeks, and there is no reason why they should not have a big run tonight. Brizzle Blue looks set to enjoy a clear passage as the sole wide.
The blue dog was super impressive in his last two appearances. After bagging the top rank by 6½ lengths, A. McDowell’s trainee kept performing well and ensured an emphatic win last time around.
He beat Blackband Scamp by half a dozen lengths to seize the top status. The way he has been performing over the last few days, it is very hard to expect him to make any mistake tonight.
Another in-form hound is Westmead Adonis, who was also pretty impressive in the previous two races. The black dog crushed Romeo You Decide by one and a half lengths in the opening round of the championship.
He was an easy winner last time, as he stamped the whole crew comprehensively, notching up the number one position by 7¼ lengths. N. Savva’s trainee can march into the final with all the momentum.
Other contestants in the 480 metres race are: Johnny Kwango, Peacemaker, Romeo Recruit and Gemstone Jack. The open race, carrying a cash prize of £100, is due to get underway at 20:37 GMT.
Peacemaker was well beaten by Teena Marina. The blue dog certainly needs to trap better in order to produce a positive result today. Johnny Kwango was the 1-5 favourite last time, but won only by a short head’s distance. Despite being in winning rhythm,
he is unlikely to attract too many bets.
Romeo Recruit was below his best last time, and would need to start better in order to fancy some chances. Gemstone Jack is a tardy starter, and will be forced to play catch up.
The real clash will be between Westmead Adonis and Brizzle Blue. The latter gets our vote, because he was great in both of his last outings. Good luck to all the runners.
