Westmead Bertie likely to dominate June Puppy
Westmead Bertie is expected to dominate proceedings in the June Puppy at Henlow in England on Thursday, June 7, 2012. The winner of the 460 metres flat race will be awarded a cash prize of £150.
The Grade OR event is scheduled to start at 20:00 GMT and only five runners have been attracted towards it. Their names are as follows: Westmead Bertie, Guinness Dusty, Freedom Spice, Droopys Moss and Gotcha.
Out of the above mentioned runners, no one seems to be in a position to match the skills of Westmead Bertie at the moment, as he is in fabulous form. He is likely to walk away with a comfortable victory today, thus the bookies have awarded him with the best
odds. Furthermore, the punters will also be risking the maximum number of bets on him today.
The N. Savva’s trained hound is quite young, but he has got plenty of experience, which will help him tackle pressure in the race. He has been delivering some exceptional results over the past few events, which shows that he is carrying a terrific momentum.
The black dog has won his past three races in this class, which goes onto show the kind of form he is carrying at the moment. He has got both the speed and stamina to fight for victories with consistency.
In his most recent outing, Westmead Bertie was absolutely dominant, as he did not allow anyone else to come closer. He was expected to do so, as the bookies had rated him favourite back then as well. He lived up to their expectations, storming to the top
by almost five lengths.
A clear run would definitely ensure another victory for the favourite hound, who is the son of Westmead Hawk out of Westmead Oak and was born in August 2010.
There is a chance for Guinness Dusty to cause an upset at Henlow, but it will be quite difficult for him to do so. He has been delivering some consistent results over the past few events and managed to win once out of his past five appearances.
However, the S. Cahill’s trainee could only manage a runner up position in his most recent race, which shows that he is not carrying the winning momentum.
