  1. If you like a quiet peaceful lazy life sort of place its OK, but if you are a type that likes hectic activity such as Night Clubs its not for you. Be warned it has one of the lowest tides anywhere in Britain, so if you want a swim in the sea you may have to walk a very long way from the beach.

  2. the pier is a good start and apart from that the place such a dump your better off not going.

p.s i am entitled to call the place a dump as i live there!

  3. Other answerer's calling Weston a dump is a bit unfair. It's a very typical British sea side resort with fish and chips, candy floss, ice cream, pubs and amusement arcades. Basically, you get what you pay for.

A short drive from Weston, you have Whookey Hole Caves (not sure I spelt that correctly) the largest cave system in Europe, Cheddar Gorge, a thousand tourist attractions in Bristol and Bath and you're an hour from Exmoor National Park.  Generally then, a good base to work from.

  4. The pier will keep the kids happy and there's an aquarium that will take a few hours.  After that, you're looking at day trips to places like Bristol (Zoo), Glastonbury (the town, not the festival) and Mid-Wales is nice too...

  5. I've heard that if you can avoid the discarded shopping trolleys, and wrecked cars, then a dip in the sea's quite refreshing!!

  6. Weston super MUD - two thirds of the beach is mud.

It is also the dumping ground for drug addicts in rehab.

90% of the population is made up of those over 65 years of age.

  7. not really, have u ever seen W-s-M????

  8. Have a look at Enjoy England's day trip finder... All of these places are within 10 miles of Weston super Mare -

    Have fun!

  9. Well, nearby, you have Brean Downs, and Brean Sands...great for walking!!, Brean also has quite a good selection of amusements too should the weather turn bad!! There is also Burnham on Sea, just a short drive away, and Clevedon is a little Victorian seaside place, and then of course, you have Wookey Hole ( caves and a paper mill) Cheddar Gorge ( more caves, both situated in the Mendips) You could also visit Bath, and visit the Roman Baths .....whatever you do, have a good holiday!!
