Wet and cold summers?

how long until this effects crops to the level of the irish potato famine? and will the yanks take us away from this soggy shithole again?

The cold weather is not the actual cause of crop blight, but it gives rise to the rapid reproduction of the bacterias responsible, but these are relatively easy to deal with these days, by spraying chemicals, so do not expect it to happen any day soon, but nature has a habit of changing the rules, so I would not bet against it deciding to change the rules of this game, and we will find ourselves holding our breath if this change is caused by Genetic Modification,

As for the yanks, taking us away, do not bet on that happening, they are a little paranoid , just now about immigration, and you will find that they have rules that stipulate the numbers allowed from nearly every nation, the Morrison "green card lottery" is NOT available for people from England Scotland or Ireland, or Wales, the allocation of tickets, to these nations for immigrants, is never taken up completely, by the nations involved, so the excess, untaken allocation, goes to a lottery that is open to nearly every one else, but us, sadly the reasons are that quotas exist, based on racial lines, and it is okay to discriminate against white nations.....unfair it may be, but the majority of those taken every year, are from the African, Arabic, and Asian nations, America really gets itself into a self righteous knickers twisting, over this sort of thing, and is terrified politically of saying any different, so do not expect them to ride to our aid if this should ever happen again.

We are on our own, and worse, because these islands are sinking below the waves, ( even without global warming and sea rises ), sooner or later we will need help, I do not think that America will be the answer, somehow, because by the time this begins to be a real problem, faced on a daily basis for us, America will be a majority black nation, and my bet is that it will not be in favour of mass white immigration ( this is due to happen about 2050, ) long before the islands we inhabit, sink irretrievably under the sea, ( about 2150 ), So the "special relation" we have with the US, will turn out to be a fiction, that only applies to the Germans, not to us, we are considered an  ally only when it suits them, otherwise, we are thought of, as a nuisance little nation....no oil, no empire for the marketing of their goods, no power in the E.U..we are soley there, to provide an army that they do not spend money to get, saving tax dollars, goes down big over there, come election time, and it is a presidential election year.

But special relationship, ? forget it, we are not even allowed to join their police forces, we can become their vice presidents, but not policemen ? we speak the same language, and they do not want us, to do this job  ? but allow other immigrants this right, I would love to hear their reasons for this one, explain, please, all you Americans, who read this page, just why you are this, unfriendly, to the people from these islands, ???
