Okay. I put my hamster in the ball while i cleaned out its cage. I've noticed its p**p being a bit smooshy... but i noticed a little dampness at the end of its tail. Now, the dampness is dried . Should I be worried? But i also gave my new hammy lots of veggies when i first bought it... but its had mushy p**p for like 3 days now... =(

  1. Stop the veggies and call the vet.

  2. I'D stop feeding him veggies and take it to the vet, it might not be anything but i could be, better  safe than sorry. id feed him seeds instead

  3. Please take him to a vet immediately.

Whether it is due to the veggies or due to wet - tail, only the doctor would be able to tell. Don't delay it anymore since wet tail is a lethal disease and the hamster can die of it if not cured in time.

  4. Take it to the vet!!!!!  Wet-tail, hope to god that's not it, can kill an animal in only 7 days.  Wetness around that area, mushy p**p, green p**p, and crusty dry yellowish gunk around that area can all lead to wet tail.

  5. It is not wet tail, just stop feeding the vegetables for a while, vegetables are high in fibre: fibre holds water in the intestines and this will make his stools mushy. Fructose is also found in some root vegetables, this can give him diarreha depending on how much is eaten. Keep him on his dried food only for a while till his system is clear. Lots of veggies,or fruit  are not good for a hamster, but occasionally, a small amount as a treat they are fine.  feed him some dry wheat biscuits these will help firm up his stools.
