Wet weekend coming up for South England?

Question

According to yahoo, a wet weekend is in store for the south of england but theres one thing that really confuses me.

The weather forecast for areas in south east on saturday is cloudy and sunny .......

So the article on yahoo is kind of contradicting the weather forecast ....

Anyone know which one is true?

I am from Colorado in the US, but yes that doesn't make much sense. Maybe the sun will peak through at one point according to the forecast. Isn't it typically rainy and cloudy there?

Looking at the BBC Weather, Saturday is not forecast too bad, but Sunday everyone may be swimming.  Monday too...

So perhaps, for a Bank Holiday weekend, two out of three IS bad?

I've got construction in the garden if it's nice, and a book and a log fire if it's pouring with rain.  Sorted.

(we have to be prepared for anything up on the edge of Bodmin Moor: weather forecasts are hit and miss here, too.)
