Im totatly embarresed to ask my mom or dad to take me to the doctor to see whats wrong but i think its comming to the point that i HAVE to. i been doing a little research and people that wet the bed after age 10-12 might have a physical health problem. I dont get any sharp pains up my urthria when i pee it doesnt burn so i believe its not a urniary track infection but I DONT KNOW. What should i do? How did you stop wetting the bed? i tryed EVERYTHING from not drinking at all during the WHOLE day and istill wet the bed... pee before i go to sleep... all that stuff. Please help

  1. first off, get some protection, geez, they make "waterproof"mattress pads for a reason, If it happens often also get some adult diapers, It may be embarrassing but it has to be better then replacing mattresses and washing wet sheets all the time

but you need to see a doctor about it

  2. have you heard of underjams???

they are diapers for "big kids" i thought no big kids wet the bed so i thought it was stupid you little freak.........make your bladder grow up!

or just cut your peepee off then you cant pee aahahhaaha

  3. Well, you could either buy diapers, or you could get a rubber matress cover.  Other than that, try to wake up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom.

  4. see a doctor   there must be something , that can help you    good luck

  5. I think you're right you will need to see a doctor.

  6. There may be something that's bothering you subconsciously which means that something in the back of your mind is bothering you and the way of dealing with it is wetting the bed. It's also possible that you CAN'T wake yourself up and use the bathroom. Though it's embarrassing, try wearing a depend (an adult diaper) until you see the doctor. Sometimes it just takes a while for you to outgrow this. I actually had the same problem and outgrew it after a while. If you need any other advice, message me. Hope this helps.

  7. there could be alotta reason as to why ur still wetting the bed(psychological, biological, or maybe you just havent trained yourself to hold it while you sleep)...if its just that you havent trained yourself there are many different things you can buy that will wake you up the second it gets wet(personal experience with those things). It is possible for you to have an infection....I'd say the best way to deal with the problem is to buy one of the things that will wake you up when u start to pee and to go see your doctor and tell him about your problem because if u do have an infection you dont want it to get worse. If all of that fails you may want to talk to your parents about maybe talking to a counselor because it could be caused due to psychological probelms. Hope i have been helpful.

  8. I'm addressing the mattress problem. There are flat pads that you can put under your sheet. Look in the health section of a drug store. When you pee at night you will ruin the sheet, but have the assurance that the mattress is protected. They are about 24" by 36" and work quite well.

When you go visit some one, put an incontinence pad in your briefs before you go to bed. You can substitute a feminine pad, the pkgs of 60 pads will last more than a month. Take a spare pad or two, whatever you think you'll need. That way you'll stay dry. I think this is the best solution every night

When you have an accident because you haven't prepared, grab a large bath towel, double it and put that on the wet spot. You can then sleep atop the towel which will soak up the pee. In the morning your clean up is less of a problem. Not much of a solution.

You can easily remove your briefs to m********e.

This is something you can do until you get yourself trained to sleep dry through the night. You have not one, but two sphinctor muscles to train. Do Kegel exercises. You can start those today. Have a detailed discussion with your school counselor or nurse. Maybe a pediatrician. Good luck in finding a solution to your condition.

  9. I'm thinking you may have a bladder problem. You should start a regular conversation with Mom or Dad and be like 'I cannot believe I'm still wetting the bed. Is there something wrong with me or something?' and then when they reply, be like 'I think we should go to the doctor.'

You may feel embarassed, and it's OK, everyone gets embarassed most of the time. What more embarassing, asking your parents to take you to the Doc's or constantly wetting your bed and you have to have guests avoid your bedroom? Think about it.

And now, I know this is going to sound totally twisted, but you should buy some sanitary pads (towels, maxi pads, whatever) and put them in your boxers or briefs. You're probably thinking 'What the h**l is this girl thinking?' but it's less pricey than buying the regular absorbent underwear for people with bladder problems and it's hard for anyone to know. If you're going to the bathroom before bed and still wetting the bed, you can set your alarm clock about 4 hours after you fall asleep and make a quick trip to the bathroom and repeat this rountine. Eventually, your body will get use to waking up at this time to have a bathroom break. Then you can put your maxi pad on and you'll be OK. If you have a mom or sister, you can always steal theirs. They wouldn't notice, hopefully.

PLEASE CHECK OUT THINGS WITH YOUR DOCTOR!

  10. Well, I can tell you authoritatively that wetting the bed is pretty common even among teenagers. Some people are so heavily asleep and in that state of subconsciousness, just dont associate the urge to pee with waking up.

There is a pad and bell that you can use. When the pad gets wet, the bell sounds and is meant to wake you. Pretty soon you associate the sound with being uncomfortable.. and thus when you get the urge to pee, you wake instead of hearing that god awful bell... It works for most kids. Soem sleep through the bell and the dang thing wakes everyone else up instead... lol.

Thre are drugs for the hard to cure. These can be dangerous if taken wrong... so have to be taken under strict medical supervision. My son is on them. He's older than you, but they work.

BTW.. it is hereditary... someone in your family.. grandmother, grandfather, father... mother ... uncle...  will have had the same problem.

  11. depends??

  12. Ask your parents to take you to the doctor. Even though you are embarrassed, it is not your fault. The muscles that control the flow of urine don't tighten up at night when you go to sleep. When you were a baby, this is why you wet your diaper. At some age, usually around 1 year old, those muscles begin to close off urine flow when you fall asleep. For many people, these muscles never begin to work. There is a medication for this called DDAVP. Go to http://parenting.ivillage.com/gs/gsbehav...

to read more about it. Good luck. By the way, I was a bed wetter too!

  13. It's not psychological - it's a medical problem.   Having a mattress protector (a plastic sheet covered in soft absorbent cotton) is a must.  Seeing your doctor is critical to getting this corrected.  There are many treatment options so you don't have to put up with this anymore.  It's nothing to be ashamed of but it is embarrassing so get some medical help - you'll be glad you did.

  14. If it's ruining stuff then you need to get a plastic sheet so it don't soak into the mattress.

Try setting a alarm clock so you will wake up a couple times in the night.  Then go pee when you get woke up.  Maybe if you pee in the night like that you won't pee the bed.

  15. Its most likely psychological.

  16. Go to the doctor i feel bad for you
