  1. What connector are you using? PS/2 or USB ? Shouldnt have any problem at all if its usb..if you have a PS/2 check to see if the pins are bent inside of it. Do you get power to the keyboard (press caps lock and see if it lights up).. or does it not get power at all..

If it gets power.. its a software issue..

If it gets no power..its a hardware issue..

  2. I don't know. I would just get a new keyboard at Radio Shack or Circuit city or something.

  3. You may have somehow disabled the keyboard in the Device Manager.  Try this:

    With Windows XP:

    1. Right-click on My Computer and select Properties.

    2. Click the Hardware tab.

    3. Click the Device Manager button.

    4. If there isn't an entry for Keyboards, click the View->Show Hidden Devices menu item.  Keyboards should now be in the list.

    5. Click Keyboards to open it up.

    6. Right click the entry for your keyboard.  If it's disabled, click Enable.

    In Windows Vista:

    1. Right-click Computer and select Properties.

    2. Click the Device Manager entry.

    3. Continue as in Step 4 above.

    Hope that helps.
