Wh wont my sim on sims 2 write a novel?

he will sit down and type but it doesnt ever ask for any plot stuff? any help??

If you click on the computer and tell your sim to write a novel and he sits at the computer and types like crazy, then he is writing the novel.  You will never see the novel nor will you know what it is about.  This is just a skilling action and Maxis didn't make it so that we would be involved in the process.  Sorry.  It would have been fun to choose what the novel was about.

Also, your sim can write the novel in one sitting or work on it in pieces.

Make sure his fun, hunger, etc. levels are close to max.
