i hate whaling

i find it cruel and Unnecessary

yet no one in my school is bothered

so i wrote this poem

id like to know what you think???

try not to judge your Opinion on how you feel about it id like to know about the poem.

Screeching, pulled together

But having no comfort

Seeing the others bleed

In a net of fear

A net of hate…

Once we trusted

Now our fate

Ends in this trap

Killed for trusting

Near by in the water

There are more humans

It seems there trying to help

But they are all the same. All killers

Things start to fade

The screams are in the distance

The net starts to move up

My breath is drawn short

I am no longer that peaceful creature.

I am dead.

  1. Wow!  That's quite a powerful poem.  I think it definitely would make people think about how it must feel from the whales point of view.  I liked it.

Well done to you for caring enough to put your thoughts into words and invite others to comment on it.  Very brave.

Keep on caring...and keep on writing... :)

  2. This is really, nice, i hope it has an impact on those who don't give a d**n about whaling. Whaling makes me want to retch. But this poem is layed out nicely, and it's deepwith emotion from a side that isn't heard enough!

    keep at it, xx

  3. This poem is powerful , it shows a great spirit of caring for the environment and our beautiful creatures which  have lived on this planet of ours far longer than humans.  Avarice and greed shake the vry foundations of a humane society - the Japanese are guilty of horrific whaling - please boycott anything Japanese if you are able - their cruelty should have ended with the Second World War- however, if they treat people so badly what can we expect from them as they kill and maim creatures from the deep - who lovingly protect their own young.  You are a good person and there are many who support and agrre with your touching poem. Blessings Irene
