  1. the amp and whammy bar are two completely different things....

The amp is not the problem, it cant be...It simply amps the sound up so you can hear the guitar and change the sound.

Oh and Spider amps are a waste of money, I suggest selling it for a Roland Cube.....but thats my suggestion.

    Guitar guitar:

Fender Strat guitar - SSS (3 single coils)

So the whammy is locked in place and wont move around?

See if theres a cover at the back of the guitar and see if you can remove it.  look around to see if theres anything other than a few springs in there stopping the bridge from moving around.

The bridge should be level as well, it should not be pinned down.  If someone didn't know what they were doing they could have removed the springs or something from inside the guitar and so that would pin the bridge down since the strings are pulling at it.

You can also go to a music store with it and see if they can figure it out with you, I'm sure they are helpful.

Guitars with whammys are not good for beginners, a stop tail bridge which stays where it is is best since its one less thing to have a beginner mess with...also whammys make your guitar go out of tune way too quickly.
