Whare are Bergen-Belsen concentration camp and Auschwitz?

What country and what city would they be considered in? Also, if you know, Westerbrook transit camp?

  1. Bergen belsen:  female concentration camp, Anne and Margot frank died of typhus there.  Auschwitz was originally a transit camp, then turned to be more of a concentration camp.  Hope this helped :)

  3. Bergen-Belsen was located in the Lower Saxony region of Germany, in the city of Bergen, district of Belsen.

    Auschwitz-Birkenau is located about 50km west of Krakow or 285km south of Warsaw.

    The Westerbrook Transit Camp was located in northeastern part of the Netherlands in the Dutch province of Drenthe.

  4. Bergen - Belsen is in Belsen.  I think that's in Germany.  Saxony, to be exact.

    Auschwitz is in Auschwitz, which is in Poland.  Oswiecim is the Polish spelling.

    See, the camps were generally named for the towns they were on the outskirts of.
