Pine trees grow anywhere and everywhere. I live in the country and have 5 acres, 3 acres are wooded. There are forests everywhere here, with a mixture of trees. Nobody planted the forest, trees drop seedlings and grow on their own. I know that I didn't answer your question, but there appears to be confusion by some people on YA about how mother nature works.
