Wharfedale in car DVD player(model WCV2601)

Hello i have installed an in car DVD player in place of my old CD player. whenever i switch the ignition off and take the key out, the panel display is switched to stand by mode but does not turn off completely, the light is visible, is there a problem with the unit?
