  1. Soil Pollution is caused by:

    - By growing crop then harvesting, we remove all Nitrogen out of the soil

    - After no more Nitrogen is available in the soil, we add Nitrogen minerals

    - Also add fungicides and insecticides

    Result:

    - Minerals and soil bond together and cause hard pan soil

    - When we water it, top soil with minerals are swept away into rivers and irrigation systems which lead to lakes

    - Algae in lakes love Nitrogen and over breed killing lakes and turning it completely green.

Basically when people add anything that isn't natural to the soil such as pesticides, minerals and other chemicals, it causes the soil to become contaminated over time.
