  1. south

  2. I think they would be equal.

  3. probably north pole

  4. Besides the elevation factor, the north pole is surrounded by ocean and variable ice that modifies its climate whereas the south pole is surrounded by land and permanent ice sheets

  5. where do you plan to fly to?

    both same

  6. South pole.

Mainly because it's at a higher elevation than the north pole by quite a few thousand feet.

The north is basically a floating ice sheet, whereas the antarctic is actually a continent, with mountains and things.

So by the time you have chucked on the ice too, it rerally is a lot higher, and a lot colder.

In fact it can be up to 3 times colder there.

  7. They're the same because the sun isn't hitting either of them.

  8. the same

  9. Actually, the South Pole is colder than the North Pole.

The reason is that the south pole sits on a giant ice sheet which increases the elevation.  Higher elevations are colder naturally because the higher you go the less air molecules there are... and that reduces the ability to absorb/emit heat.

Therefore, since the north pole is at sea level it will be somewhat more mild.

  10. The coldest place in the world is Antarctica, the continent buried under all that snow and ice at the south pole. The temperature was negatice 128.5 F.
