  1. I personally wouldnt waste my time with either of the 2 companies. I am not into having house parties and pestering friends and family to buy product from me. I prefer to have everything on-line and automated.

Take a look at this as it might be the biggest opportunity this century to capitalize on the billion dollar wireless industry.

  2. clrell,

I used to sell Avon, but have been selling Mary Kay for over 3 years, so I can give you the deal w/ both companies.

    AVON

    - $10 to start (you get a stack of brochures & samples for that)

    - You sell via brochure sales or website sales if your customers visit

    - You make 50% profit for the first 6 weeks or so (for becoming a new consultant). Then you have to start selling $1500 per quarter in order to earn 50% profit. More likely you will earn 20%-30%profit (it's based on the dollar amount you sell).

    - There are generally no parties involved with Avon

    - You sell, collect money and get a check from the company for your earnings.

    - Strategy: hand out as many brochures as possible and hope to get orders

    MARY KAY:

    - $100 for your Starter Kit (comes with over $320 in retail full size products, brochures, samples, LOTS more - including the selling strategy and consultant guide).

    - You can sell from your brochure, online from your website, at skin care classes, at quick 30 minute facial visits, etc.

    - You make a 50% profit from EVERY sale ALL the time.

    - You make a sale, collect the payment, purchase the items from the company for 50% and pocket the other 50% immediately (don't have to wait for a check from the company like you do with Avon).

    - Mary Kay provides you with all the instructions and help that you need to make your business successful.

As I said, I've sold both - and I've made a career out of selling Mary Kay. I barely broke even selling Avon.

I am more than happy to answer any other questions that you may have, or to help you to start selling Mary Kay if you are interested and don't already have a consultant who can help you. My e-mail is: kymberleezimmer@marykay.com and my website is: www.marykay.com/kymberleezimmer

    Good luck!
