  1. to early to tell --= she could be  just like a lot of diets that have came out and were the best thing since slice bread until a few months later everyone was dropping dead -- i am  a mid western farmer -- like all of them she will take time to either grow on me or be put in the trash can!!!  i will say this i spend over three years in vietnam but after last night it seems like john baby was the only one that fighting over there!!  i guess the 60000 or so that did not make it home were just visiting!!!

  2. She is without a doubt a breath of fresh air.

    I pray they/dry media don't ruin her.

    DeeJay.

  3. I'm a democrat.  I have nothing good to say about her.

  4. I don't care for her.  She announces on national television that she has no idea about the duties of a VP, the office that she is running for?  All talk, no experience and she was one who promoted the bridge to nowhere in Alaska.  No experience, just talk.  Just my opinion.

  5. I think that she's intelligent, poised, and talented.  I think that she's ultra conservative.  I think that she has a future in national politics.  I also think that she wouldn't be the VP nominee if she wasn't a woman.

  6. I think of her just what she says "A pit bull, but with lipstick"  I love to hear her speak.  She doesn't brag about bull she's going to do, but brags about what she's accomplished.  Just enjoyable to listen to her, can't wait for her next speech and the debates.  Not to mention shes young and full of spunk.  I know she can't say it but all I can think is

" Don't F with this *****", hehehehee love her too.

  7. I don't like her extreme right wing views.  She is on the wrong side of almost every issue that I, as a woman, consider important.

She doesn't have any experience.  As a community organizer myself I was insulted by her remarks against us.

Sarah Palin, it is we who see that children who would go hungry otherwise have at least one nutritious meal everyday during the summer.  It is we who see that their parents have access to the resources (computers, phones, printers, etc.) to look for work.  We are the ones who organize Neighborhood Watches and Safety Programs, etc, etc, etc... and when we fail, we have to face the people we have failed face to face everyday because that neighborhood we are talking about is our neighborhood!

She has a messy personal life, but would tell other families how they should live their lives, according her extreme right wing religious views I guess, the same views that apparently provided her teenage daughter with no information on contraception.

There are a number of investigations going on about her in Alaska, abuse of power, etc.  And it is alleged that she had an affair with her husbands business partner... ahem former business partner.  It will be interesting how all this plays out.

  8. There were lots of other choices that would have made more sense.  But, this is what we have now, and will have to live with it.  Anything is better than nObama.

  9. I think she needs another 30 years experience.  If McCain should die during office, look what we would be left with!

  10. I'm very much impressed! She's a  breath of fresh air not like Biden a Washington insider who's been there for 35 years.  We need new faces in Washington who will do something not just follow along and I do believe she's one.  Obama lost me a while back when I noticed he has changed what he is going to do. He at first said " no taxes on Social Security for seniors" . Now  it's "take $1000. off your taxes" for the middle class. And he chose someone who has been in Washington for 35 years when he's running on change. How is  there going to be change when your partner is a 35 year Washington insider.   Go Sarah!

  11. She's got it over Obama. Obama lost my vote weeks ago. Now, I'm sure going to vote McCain.

  12. I find her terrifying.  The idea that she could run this country makes me want to puke repeatedly until I crumple into a heap on the floor.

  13. I like her.  I will be watching the debates with interest.

  14. Tooo scared to say. Got deleted in Elections when I asked a Q about her. I don't even know her.

Just an Aussie trying to understand the US election process.

  15. This is just one more problem with our political system...waiting to name the VPs two months before the election.  She may prove to be the best thing since sliced bread, but I've had sliced bread a long time.

  16. ooooooohhhhhhh Bara......Baracuda!

    Go Palin! Read her lipstick!!

  17. I think she's great.  She seems real and I think she is sincere. If she is real she will do a great job.

  18. I think she should be running for president.

  19. Too young. Requested $57 million from the feds for a town of 6,700 in Alaska in the middle of nowhere. Approves of shooting Bears and Wolves from airplanes in Alaska. No respect for the environment. Her judgement is poor and her background is worse. The Britts are taking bets on whether or not she will voluntarily quit before the election or get thrown out. She is McCain's downfall. She has family in the oil business wouldn't you know?

  20. Since we don't have a TV in our home,i don't get to hear much of this stuff, only what i read in the paper,or see on the news on my computer. She sure is a heck of a better looking woman than ole Hillary!

  21. I've been doing a lot of research on her in the last few days and here is what I found:

    http://www.grizzlybay.org/SarahPalinInfo...

    You be the judge!

  22. I think she has been a good choice.  We will now have to see the People's choice.

  23. One answewr said that she was like a breath of fresh air.  Sorry, I do not agree.  When I listedned to her speech it was filled with "school girl" insults to Obama.  It was like going back to High School.   I am not saying that she is not likeable, or intelligent.  There is a reason why she got this position and that is, because she is a women and because she is a family woman.  I admire some of the choices she has made in her life, i.e. carrying and having a Downs Syndrom child, yet I do not go along with her stating that she is against abortion for ANY REASON WHATSOEVER, which includes the mothers' life, or rape.  I am an Obama supporter because I get this "feeling" about him.  He is intelligent, intellectual, honest, a great family man and his wife will make an excellent first lady.  He is an excellent speaker who speaks from the heart, and writes his own speeches.  McCain on the other hand, stumbles, reads and for some of his speeches, doesn't seem like he has even read it before.   Also McCain is another Bush  I appreciate the fact that he was a

prisoner of war, yet in every speech he mentions it, his war service, fighting, attack etc. etc.  Sorry, but his family has been professional mililtary men, way back when, and he believes that going to war is the answer to everything.  When Mrs. Bush and Mrs. McCain stood together, it was like looking at a Fashion Magazine.  Very expensive suits, couiffered hair, expensive jewelry, the same with Palin.  Michelle on the other hand looked relaxed natural, with a pretty dress on.

Sarah Palin as President of the United States?  Which is quite possible with the health and age of McCain.

Can you see Palin, tomorrow for instance, running the United States?    Very scary thought I am afraid.

  24. I like her. McCain was not my first choice (I like rudy), but I was going to vote for anyone who was running against Obama. Now, I'm excited about the election. I think Palin is just what this ticket needed.

  25. Mr. Ed. I do so thoroughly agree with you.  I have not seen any of the Republican Convention, but I have many family members plus my husband who were in Vietnam.  they never got anything exceptional for the fight..McCain is getting like Guiliani and his 9/11 obsession.

Re Sarah Palin..I'm glad she has such good Christian convictions.      There are also millions of us out here who live the Christian life every day.  It's when any denomination or

arm of Christianity pretends to be the word of the Lord that I get incensed.  I still believe that we were meant to keep politics and the church separate.  It originally meant that politics were not supposed to dictate to the church.  Now it's gone backwards.  It's the small group of elitist and governing (supposedly) Jesus special kids, that are trying to rule the rest of us.

  26. Too early to tell yet. She is a new comer (to the eyes and ears of America). You have to realize that most if not all of these politicians have professional speech writers on their staffs. Though she appears to be a clear speaker, you have to realize that what she is reading has been prepared "for" her. Time will tell I guess.
