What, in terms of Australian sport, is the worst weekend to get married?

Grand Final weekend, which this year falls on 29-30 September.  Also the weekend of Indy may not be a good time to get married either.

Well, I am getting married the last weekend of October to avoid any clashes with any games of AFL and NRL. Can't get married November - February as it's too frikkin hot, and then the year starts up again, so that is the best weekend. But you asked for the worst so I would have to say when you or your fiance (or half the bridal party if their all pie heads) have their fav team in any final, especially if it's the first time in a hundred years or a grudge match.

PS My wedding constraints are my idea, not my man's as I am the footy head - Go The Mighty, Mighty, Mighty Dees!!!!!

during the colder months as that is when sport is on !!!!finals are usually around August / September.....,June is state of origin time....NOT A GOOD TIME !!!

well avoid it being around august and september... both league and afl finals during this time... possibly the two best months australia has to offer... best of luck for your wedding

Depends on your fiancee. When I was deciding the date for my wedding my husband said that as long as it didn't clash with ANY Grand Finals, key games, International games including Australia or sporting events (Indy or Bathurst). I also had to consider HIS Rugby matches then he would be there with a suit and a tie on :D. We were married November 12, a weekend that had no sporting event of significance to him and 2 weeks after his Grand Final. Sport is a serious issue when marry a sports fanatic.  It seems that almost every week has another important sporting event. : \

October long weekend (NSW) as the NRL grandfinal takes place as well as Bathurst Car Races. I think the AFL grandfinal is the weekend before this. So avoid anywhere around this time.

If you are marrying an Aussie fellow who is as obsessed with sport as i am then take your pick,grand final wkend(afl or rugby if your from the north),melbourne cup wkend,world cup cricket final wkend,bathurst, but of these id have to say the AFL grand final followed by the melbourne cup week inc derby day,oaks day,cup day and emirates stakes day.

probably the only goodtime is during the nab cup pre season rounds of the afl. the serious footy fans who would miss a wedding for any game of the regular season games, know the pre season is just a warm up practice game. anytime before that clashes with cricket
