  3. you musn't miss Rome, lots of interesting history and arts there. if you still have time, visit Florence too, the statue of David is awesome. Venice is lovely as well, the Piazza di San Marco is breathtakingly beautifu, go see the glass blowing also but a word of caution, don't get lost in the narrow streets, they all look the same, difficult to ask for directions too since Italians cannot speak good English.

  4. Milan, is in my opinion is the best italian city. its good for girls, because of the fashion capital and its good for girls too because of the hot men

  5. Rome because is rich with history

  6. Florenece or Rome

  7. avianna, italy

  8. Venice and Rome are wonderful, although touristy. Very romantic to go to, and pricey. There are villages in Tuscany that are more rustic, more secluded, less touristy, and you get more for your money. There are Atruscan ruins to explore in Tuscany, not as famous as the Roman Ruins or the Renaissance buildings in Venice, but still interesting. There still are Medieval buildings in Tuscany to walk through, and lots of great places to pick up wine, cheese, and great B&B's that have great food and regional delicassies.

  9. Fly in to Rome... shop 'til you drop and eat decent food and then go to Naples - shop and eat 'till you drop. Then get on the train to Brindisi to take the ship to Greece.

  10. I have been to all of Sicilly, Rome, Naples, Florence. Pisa, and several other small towns in Italy, and I must say the most enjoyable place for me was Palermo, Sicily. I plan to go back there very soon actually.

they dont hate americans...if your american...they are okay with anyone as long as you treat them with the smae respect.

    I love it there.

  19. I had an absolutely wonderful time in Venice.

  20. I was in Italy a lot of times, and for me it is the best for you to go straight to Rome, be there a couple of days, and then down to Napoli and island of Capri which is just across Napoli. Everything is beautifull, food is great everywhere, and you can do great shopping in Via Condotti in Rome!!

  21. Rome is great for shopping....Also lots to see there. Taking a taxi in that town is a hair-raising, fun  experience!! Venice is a must-do (stay out of the nasty canals, though) as is the Isle of Capri!! Make sure you don't miss the Blue Grotto on Capri. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blue_Grotto

I did a lot of touring when I was there with a group. There's many worthy things to see, just do some research.

The food is wonderful everywhere, and don't miss the Italian ice-cream!!

    Wish I were going.

  22. If you like art and the Renaissance - Florence

If you like ancient sites  - Rome

If you like designer shops - Milan

If you like hiking - Cinque Terre

If you like beauty - Bellagio

    If you like mystery- Venice

If you like really ancient history - the cities and towns of Sicily

The food is great everywhere, though it is different depending on the region you visit.

  23. ROME - It has more of what  you want from Italy. It is the Eternal City and has so much history that makes it very special.

You will want to see Venice, and Florence too.

They are lovely places but are not that beautiful.

Florence is noted for it's wonderful art museums.

Venice is wonderful for the canals.

All three cities have excellent food.

All three have great shopping, but there is more of everything in Rome.
