For me, its Leibniz's view that this is the best of all possible worlds.

  1. The torchered lengths Kant went to in order to prove the saying, "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you."

Also, his attempt to refute Hume only served to extend the proposition that we can only truly know what we can apprehend with our five senses.  And, only then, we only know it within our own minds.

  2. Pascal's wager. You want me to believe in God just in case? Shut up you frog, you're embarrassing yourself.

My favourite is Zeno's paradox of motion. Never fails to infuriate at dinner parties.

  3. Either that there is, or isn't, a god.

The one that said "all men are born equal" is missing the point.  The point when you have to start struggling to become equal is when you have grown up; everybody is the same when you are born.

  4. The following:

    All truth is relative.

  5. To aks God to say that He does not exist.

  6. Communism,

for no intelligent human being will suffer degradation in order to be "equal" with the rest of the mob.

  7. Socrates view that slaves actual enjoy being slaves and serving there masters , a view seconded by the Roman Cassius

  8. Kierkegaard's Subjective Truth. Something is true if you believe in it with conviction and without question (he was trying to prove God). Therefore, if I believed very hard and without question that everything is a dream... it is! Also, if I'm insane and I think I'm invincible... I am!

This is against Hegel's Correspondence Theory of Truth that states that what is truth is what you say compared to reality. What you think is unimportant. The table is a table whether you believe its a table or not.

  9. God is Dead

  10. The proposition that all opinions are equal.

PS: the guy who said "All men are created equal" fails to see that the claim involves metaphysical equality, not political, social, economic, or religious equality.

  11. Thatcher's "there is no such thing as society" spiel. Not so much for its absurdity (although it is that) but for the consequences of governing with that as a core belief.

The notion that there is an all-powerful god of somekind is another I find utterly absurd.

  12. Decode this lyrics  "My Way"

    Self independence.

    Without God in control.

    Only majority in control.

With code of honour " Over my dead body"

As tribe with non-existence rights of original descendant.

As tribe of a Rudeness Tribe.

Born and raised by the dead Mummy -Father of a Rudeness tribe.

As king of the jew with crown of thorns and two empty hands with two balls.

In kicking the butts of God in not worshiping God.

    Leviticus 4. 13, 22

    What do you thik?

  13. That the god of Abraham created imperfect beings and then punishes them for their imperfections.

  14. "There is no God but Allah and Mohammed is his profet"

The practicioners must be immune to arthritic attacks.

  15. All men are born equal.

.....so much is it not so, that men have been struggling in every way to BECOME equal. And they have not succeeded. Nor will they ever. That they should be equal, that they should have equal opportunities etc. etc.is another matter.

lovethec... thanks for the insight. Honestly.

  16. that's pretty difficult, because I don't know everyone of them, but I guess I hate (forgot name) the guy who tried to prove that the pope is closer to god than anyone else, **** that ****.

  17. "I think, therefore I am".  Talk about murdering a helpless child in the crib.  This single proposition has basically aborted 83% (or so) of Western Philosophical Thought.  It came so early, and has been so pervasive, that I can't think of anything which has done more damage.

Without a proper definition of agency, consciousness, personhood, the "I"...mostly any arguments in epistemology, and ethics are non-starters, and a goodly chunk of metaphysics and ontology are hobbled.

The so-called "Cartesian Ego", this whole idea of integrated singular personalities, souls, essences, the whole notion of "I-ness" is only  exceeded in profound incorrectness by its incipient popularity.

As stated so eloquently by a previous poster...

    "**** that ****".

  18. d**n, all these answers are rediculous and terrible.  The most absurd belief of all is that your belief, whatever it is, in infallibly correct.  No one knows for sure, no one.  Never forget that.

  19. might makes right

therefore the superpowers of the world

have the right to impose their will upon all the rest.
