  4. Yeah, these guys are all right. There are seven groupings which each narrow down the different characteristics until a specific species is identified. These groups are kingdom, phylum, class, order, family, genus, and species. The kingdom would be the broadest category, distinguishing whether the organism is an animal, plant, fungus, or otherwise. The genus and species are the most specific categories and are used as a standalone identifier of an organism. (These names are in latin, btw.)
