  3. Stars-Young talented overall dangerous goalie

    Redwings- Playoff Experienced team

    Canadians- Good Offense

  4. Well Randy, i think that depends on the drafts. Its pretty tough to tell right now so i dont really have the answer to that! Im hoping the Hawks, they had a great season

  5. HABS WINGS AND FLYERS GO FLYERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...

  6. Canucks- they rock!!

    Canadians- they're good.

    Capitals-I love Ovechkin.

  7. Detroit - playoff experience

Washington - Ovechkin... & very good offence

Chicago - good  players... young & talent

  8. Sabres

    Wings

    Habs

  9. devils-getting hossa, campbell, and rozsival in the offseason

  10. Can we at least finish discussing this year's cup (which hasn't even ended yet) before we begin to talk of next year's final?

  11. the san jose sharks..idkk why tho i just think the will considering they have been a cup contender since the lock out.

the pittsburgh penguins cuz they are a good team.

    umm idkk who else.

  12. Red Wings - When are they NOT in contention for the cup? They've been the best team in the past 12 or so years.

Homer pick,Rangers - Lots of upcoming talent,Great goalie, young and experienced fowards and can play defense very well.

Penguins - There starting to shine again and i'm confident that they can make it again the next upcoming year.

  13. Red Wings

    Canadiens

    Penguins possibly?

  14. As you added, it's impossible to really tell until the dust from the offseason acquisitions settles, but here goes my three predictions of Cup Contenders (and a few that may be suggested but that I will give reasons to downplay):

    Cup Contenders:

Pittsburgh - improving by leaps and bounds each year, this young team will be a more serious threat next year (and we know they are in the Finals this year)!

Red Wings - as mentioned by someone else, they are always in contention and i can't imagine they are going to lose anyone key this Summer!  This is an excellent team with an excellent core and serious depth!  (No, I am not a Wings fan)

Philly - This team has some serious talent in their line-up.  This playoff year was good for them and tough for them, and I think that will pay dividends next year!  They improved immensely from '06 / '07 and I expect that they will continue to get better.  They are also a bit older and more seasoned than the Pens, but still youthful and energetic.

    Pretenders:

San Jose - This team has so much talent and yet is so bad in the Playoffs.  There is no reason to expect anything different from this team next year, even though they look like they should perform better.

Canadiens - Sorry, this team overperformed this past year.  I say they still make the playoffs next year but that they do not contend for the Conference lead.  Once the real season begins, they just don't have the physical edge to keep pace (that is, a few players playing tough can't make a team tough enough to be a Cup contender).

Flames - Iggy is great, we all know that, but this team is not deep enough to win the Cup;  Not even close to deep enough.

Stars - this one is hard for me considering the way they played this season and in the playoffs.  Unfortunately, several of their key players are getting old and I don't see the youngsters on that team making up for the gap.  The youngsters are good but I think age is going to create too many holes for next year.  The year after, that might be different.

  15. The Red Wings (they only have two games to go)

The Penguins (only have four games to go)

The Capitals (because I'm a hardcore fan and they have a h**l of a team)
