How far do you think I'll be able to run at the end of the summer if I run 3 miles every day? I'm trying to get ready for high school cross country.

  1. My cross country team trained together in the summer, starting June 1st. We trained 3-4 miles five days a week for the first couple of weeks, then we moved on to:

    Monday: 6 Miles

    Tuesday: 4

    Wednesday: 6 with hills

    Thursday:4

    Friday: 6

In July we started building endurance. We kept the same schedule, but on Fridays we ran 7,8,9, and 10 miles.

In August we started building speed. The schedule was the same as above, but on Mondays we did interval training on the track. That's just running shorter distances over and over again at a quick pace. You should be pretty dead after that.

Then it's September, and race time! It's a basic schedule: June - build mileage base, July - build endurance, August - whittle down for speed. Both boys and girls cross country teams had more than a dozen state titles each, and we were the smalles 3A school in the state.

  2. increased stamina increased cardiovascular health 3 miles a day by school 6 miles should be obtainable

  3. in a week you will be 21 miles away

  4. after running 3 miles everyday you will get more in shape and soon you can run longer without getting tired. i think by the end of the summer you can run about 6 miles pretty well.

  5. YOU WILL BE ABOUT THREE HUNDRED MILES FROM YOUR TRACK TEAM
