What'll my first time trying pot be like?

hi, im thinkin of giving pot a shot and i was wondering if, because its my first time, will anything happen. will i get high or trippy or will i just cough? also what does it mean when people call it a gateway drug? also what does John 3:16 mean?

pot is great . just make sure you don't get hung up on it. do it on occasion. lots of people say they didn't get high the first time but i did. you definitely will cough. its not pleasant to smoke. a gateway drug is a drug that leads to other more harmful drugs. jesus died for our sins. dont do weed unless your teenager or older

it just depends on the person whether or not you will be affected. but i say give it a shot. do it on occasion, dont let your life revolve around it, but once in awhile is fine. i personally am not the biggest fan of it, but i did it for pretty much my whole sophmore year and it didnt have any real long-term affects on me, and none on my family (even though some people will tell you that it will)

All the people I know who have tried it said they deeply regret having ever done drugs.  It messes up your life.  They are still having to deal with the effects on their family and marriages.  It is a sad sorry escape from life.  Don't make the mistake others have deeply regretted for ages.

Hey man, first off, I am a responsible christian.

Second, I love weed haha.

But, idk man, IMHO the people who don't get high the first time is because they really do not know what they are doing. The first time I smoked pot I was on the beach, and I was baked like chocolate cookie.

I think it is halarious how stupid people are when it comes to weed. Weed is by no means a gateway drug. You do stronger stuff because you want to, not because of weed. And, don't smoke loads of it.. there has been many times where I have seen people smoke a good bag at once.

I have smoked half a nick (cuz I shared the nick with one of buddies) and I prolly got more high then people who have smoked a quarter at once. If you even attempt smoking, do it right!

IMO, joints are a waste. You use too much weed and you dont get real high.

Go on youtube and look up the "sobe bong" and if you try that once you most likely will never smoke weed any other way. Except of course if you get the money for a real glass bong.

All in all though, if you decide to smoke, make sure it is because you want to, NOT because your freinds tell you to. Dont smoke to fit in, smoke because you enjoy it and want to.

Just a warning though, your first time, you gotta breath all the smoke in and hold it in your lungs for as long as you can take it. Then breath out real slow. Your lungs will burn like h**l, and you will cough alot. If you cough, it does NOT mean you are a newbie/loser. When you cough, it means the weed is working its way into your lungs.

Coughing also determines if what you have is good stuff. Have fun and stay safe, and only do it with freinds you trust. Chill and stay in the same area, dont walk around.

Well first time I tried smoking, I coughed allot, burned my lungs up real bad, and I didn't get high.

Second time about a year later... I was tripping,"nothing to compare it to never did trippy drugs before" I definitely felt the full effect of the weed, everything looked weird, sounded real loud, My body felt all warm, numb, I saw sideways, then when I walked home the cars went in slow motion. I never thought weed was that strong, like slower reaction time they write in books etc. That doesn't really explain stuff going in slow motion.

I didn't get any the effects that I was expecting, munchies, feel happy. I got cottonmouth really bad and when I went home to try to sleep, when I closed my eyes i kept hearing this weird noise in my head.

Yeah it makes you feel real relaxed at first too, but I could care less about feeling relaxed, the other effects were completely more noticeable.

Gateway drug- when you smoke weed people expect you to try other drugs too. I didn't get that effect. I've actually done hard drugs before weed and they weren't as near strong... vicodin,xanax,Oxycontin etc.

I suggest you hear what everyone says, people against it and for it, and people like me who are neutral.

you probably won't get high your first time, but you might. gateway drug means it leads to other hardcore drugs like cocaine, heroin, etc. i don't think the gateway part is true at all...cuz based on that logic anything could be a gateway...but anyway john 3:16 is just saying that if you believe in jesus, you will have eternal life.
