  1. The best of the best is Gary Danko.

    Others near the same league include Aqua, Boulevard, Postrio, Farallon, Masa, Slanted Door, Jardiniere, the dining room at the Ritz Carlton, Bong Su, Green's at Fort Mason, Bix, and The Big Four in the Huntington Hotel.  

    But there are almost 7,000 restaurants in San Francisco, and at least 1,000 of them are really good.  Just stay away from the tourist traps on Fisherman's Wharf!
