Don't know areas, and considering whether to have business in either.

Is there anywhere you can go to, that's free, to get info on whether an area will be going through regeneration/businesses having to relocate, or other changes to be made in area?

  1. fleetwood= fish  and mick

eccles = cakes  and spike milligan

  2. It depends where you mean in Eccles, which is technically in Salford? The town centre of Eccles is down market but areas such as Monton are quite affluent.

If you are looking for regeneration grants etc then look at Salford Council's website. One of the historic problems with Salford is a significant proportion of the residents don't register on the Electoral Role to avoid Council Tax. As a result the council gets a disproportionately low amount of revenue from Council Tax AND central government funding. That said I know Salford is classed as economically deprived and so there will be EU funding to support businesses, again the starting point is the council website. You can also look at the Chamber of Commerce website for Salford.

Fleetwood comes under Fylde (Blackpool) and although I don't know much about the area, I understand there is high unemployment in Blackpool so again there should be funding and support via the EU sourced through the local the Chamber of Commerce or from the council websites. Also with it being virtually the same place as Blackpool economic activity in the main will be heavily influenced by the tourist season.
