What's 256 mb equivalent to in gb?

right now i have a 256 mb memory card for my camera and now i need a new one but i need a lot more space now and i'm thinking i need a 2gb but i'm not sure how much bigger that is than 256mb.

Basically 256MB = 1/4BG so 2GB would be like having 8 256MB cards on one card.

thats 1/4 of a gigybite. i have one of those memory cards. they dont hold a lot of photos. trust me. you would be better off getting a 1 or 2 giybite memory card. they hold a lot of photos and the 1 gigybite meory cards are about 10 dollars. and the 2 gigybite memory cards are about 20-24 dollars

1GB = 1024 MB

Just slightly more then 1/4 gb.  1 gigabyte will give 4 times the amount of memory you have now.
