Does it mean people can email you from there, or is it just for people to look at and comment on?

( I know I'm backward at this computer malarky.)

Other than a basic profile, it's a blog (web-log), basically a diary, where you can write whatever you like, post pictures, music, video, daily happenings or anything that interests you.

People can leave comments and messages that you can reply to, you will have an inbox where messages come to, and you can collect friends to communicate with and keep track of.
