  1. It's in the city centre, more or less. If you were living there, you'd be paying a LOT of rent. There are a lot of upmarket shops and restaurants there. Generally speaking, it's fairly posh. Lots of Georgian houses in the residential areas. It's on the southside, as all even numbers are (e.g. Dublin 2, 4, 8 and so on). It's often regarded as being more upmarket than the northside, but that's not really true - there are nice places on both sides of the river.

By the way: UCD is Dublin 4, Christchurch and St Patrick's Cathedral are Dublin 8, and there are many, many other places that 'Swanky People' and 'Young Teenagers' gather. Also, it's spelt 'Liffey', not 'Liffy'. If you're going to answer a question like this, you should get your facts straight.

  2. It is the Snobbier Part of Dublin .It contains all the best Shops and Department Stores and Theatres. Brown Thomas, Weirs,Furriers, on Grafton Street Trinity college, UCD, Temple Bar, Dublin Castle, Christ Church Cathedral, St Patricks Cathedral, All the up Market Pubs and Clubs, St Stephens Green Park and Shopping Centre. It is the Place where all the Swanky People and Young Teenagers like to Congregate. This Area is on the South side of the River Liffy. On the North Side It has good Shops and Restaurants as well but it is more Working Class and therefore it does not have the same Athmosphere as the Southside.
