I'll give you an answer,  Sharking is when you 'shark' the ruck,  example of this is when a ruckman is continually winning the knock outs, but he is on the opposition,  (being a ruck/rover for my footy career i had to do this many times), you start roving to the opposition ruckman, meaning, you are trying to guess where he is goin to knock/tap the ball and get it b4 his team mate does.

  2. Yep, that old bloke Rumper Stumper is right with his answer.

    That's what sharking is. Some teams play it very well - whereas Collingwood has perfected the art of, what we call, "blowfishing".

    When ever one orf our ruckmen win a knock our midfielders 'blow' it & turn it over to the oposition!
