Ok,

So maybe this sounds funny, but I know somewhere in the Farmer's Almanac they track this stuff and I can't find it.

So how do I find predictions or statistical data on what the weather will be like this August 2008?

Does anyone know?

Is there a site where you can enter exact dates from the past to see what the weather was in a certain area in New York?

Thanks, any help welcome!

  1. There are some meteorologists out there who believe this summer will be a hot one across the Northeast.  For the first time ever I attempted a summer outlook.  My analog years for this summer are; 1974 and 1989 (main analogs) and 1950, 1971 and 200 (secondary analogs).  I am forecasting a normal to slightly below summer temperature wise for the Northeast.

I would also watch out for a potential active year severe weather wise.  During La Nina years upstate New York seems to have a higher occurrence of tornadoes than usual.  This year could be a good year for derechoes as well and upstate NY has seen some big ones in the past, (1995 was the year of the superderecho).

Will have to see how global indicies look over the next few months before we have a better idea of how things will be later on in summer.
