  1. Avogadro's Number is 6.022 x 10^23 and is the name given to the calculated number of atoms, molecules, etc. in a gram mole of any chemical substance.

  2. It is the number of atoms of an element or molecules of a compound

required to make a mass in grams equal to the atomic weight (if an

element) or molecular weight (if a compound).  For example, carbon

has an atomic weight (mass) of 12, so it would be the number of

carbon atoms whose mass totals 12 grams.  For water, which is a

compound with molecular weight 18, it would be the number of water

molecules to make a mass totaling 18 grams.

This amount is called a gram-atomic or gram-molecular

weight, or a mole, of the substance in question.

    Numerically, it is 6.023 times 10 to the 23rd power  (6.023 * 10**23)

atoms or molecules, give or take a few.  Hope this helps

  3. Avogadro's number is the number of atoms in 12 grams of carbon. It's a large number (6.02214179 x 10^23, or 60,221,217,900,000,000,000,000,000,000,0... and it is useful for comparing populations of atoms or molecules, and calculating concentrations needed in reactions.  A "mole" of one element is Avagadro's number of atoms of it, and a molar solution is one that contains that many atoms in a liter.  So if you had a mole of sodium and a mole of chlorine, you could make a molar solution of NaCl.  Since atomic weight (from the Periodic Table) is the weight of that element that contains one mole, this provides an easy (easier? LOL!) way of making such calculations...

  4. Avogrado's constant states that in 1 mol of any substance, there are 6.022 x 10^23 atoms/molecules.

  5. 6 x 10^23

no . of particles present in one mole.

  6. The Avogadro constant, also called the Avogadro number, is the number of atoms in exactly 12 grams of 12C. A mole is defined as this number of "entities" (usually, atoms or molecules) of any material. The currently accepted value for this number is:

    (6.02214179 ± 0.00000030) x 10^23
