What's California like?

I've never been and I'm thinking of going to college there.

California is AWESOME!!!

i have recently moved out of california and boy how i miss it !!

the weather depends on what part of california u are in like LA and surrounding area is warm and sunny mostly,SF mostly had cold breeze but i used to live some 30 miles from sf n the weather thr was really gr8,not too hot nor too cold...again Tahoe and surrounding area has snow in winters so we used to go ski thr in winters..so u can get almost all weathers in the same state..

thr are a lots of gr8 schools too...

i ca assure u that ur gonna loveeeee CA...

California has every climate there is in the U.S. so I'm not sure where in CA you're talking about, but I live in LA.  It's very warm here and relaxed pace.  San Francisco however is foggy and noticeably liberal (mostly a good thing).

well i live in cali. i dont like it because the summer is hot and i LOVE the cold..but if you like the beach u would like it. but i like that it rains sometimes. i live in hunnington beach...but summer is MY own personal h**l. i wish it was cold during summer....but we have some good colleges here my friend is going 2 occ and shes super excited. hope this helps!

If you want to go to a good college then California is the place to be. But it's not cheap here! I live in a small town about 3 hrs from the beach in the desert. It's cheap where I am but I wouldn't move here for college. Go to San Diego! It's probably the greatest place in CA fo sho! And to comment on an answer up top....LA IS NOT A RELAXED PACE! lol

Just don't expect to meet and see movie stars and see chicks like Pamela Anderson when you go to the beach. If you like arts and **** like that then check out The Art Institute Of Santa Monica. Santa Monica isn't bad at all. Lots to do there as well........good luck!
