The clay season is over yet Davydenko chose to play Warsaw going into the All England club grass. The draw of there offers hardly any challenge.[read:a bunch if tomato cans].What is this?some joke? or maybe he just wants the money?I'm sure he'll make more money if he practices hard for grass so tht he can make it deep into wimbledon.

Well, it's none of my business yea, but i find it weird.

  1. Well, Davydenko could be weird just like anyone of us...but he is a professional player and if he is in Warsaw to play a tournament, then it would be good for the organizers there so that they can get good revenue from the tournament because a famous player is in their draw.  There are many things in life that we don't understand, but then, that's life--and it is still an interesting world we live in... huh!

  2. well he's there because the top 3 guys are at stella artois and gerry weber thereby reducing his chances of winning at either tourney to almost zero. I believe his Miami win was the first tourney he won in which the top 3 were also participating (or something of that sort)... such a worthy #4 the guy is!

  3. i think hes trying to regaind the points he lost in roland garros.-

and that small torney is his best chance, if he would've played in london or halle, i think his draw would've been more complicated.-

  4. hes **** on grass but overall a p***y to improve on it

pathetic looser stil plays sum **** tournament on clay cant get over his depressive clay court season roland garros result

da grass prob turns him off coz it has more hair den him

  5. I was surprised too, but he maybe wants to get some extra points easily, since no one is playing Warsaw other than him, although the winner gets only 175 points, it's not worth it...

Anyway, Davydenko isn't a good grass courter, so he maybe wants to enjoy his last tournament on his favourite surface for this year, or he just looked at Halle's draw and found Federer playing so he skipped, then looked at queen's club's draw and found Nadal, Djokovic, Murray, Nalbandian, Roddick and other good players playing, so he got scared and skipped it too.

  6. Your right its none of your business, but then there are stupider questions out there.

If you know Davydenko, he loves the money, he will play in as many tournaments as possible, the further he goes, the more money he wins.  This of the three current tournaments is the most winnable for him

  7. Yeah, I've been wondering about this too. I expected him to play in Queens or German, warming up for Wimbley, so that he can improve his achievement on this year Wimbledon. May be he has promised to Warsaw to play there this year, and he's gentlement enough to keep that promise.

  8. Some players choose to still play the clay tournaments thinking they have better chance, and to possibly help their ranking, gain points, as well as make a bit of cash. With Davydenko though, anything is possible. I at first thought when seeing his name there, like what the heck, but then came to think that perhaps too he as well as other players feel they dont have much chance on grass so they play where it suits them. With grass "season" only 2 weesk before Wimbledon, one would assume a player, especially with his ability and ranking, would take advantage of the short period and get as many matches in as possible. Again, not with Davydenko, for anything is possible, being good or bad.
