What does Helena do for a living? Or did she get all her cash from her mother? What does the mom do? They seem to have quite a fortune

THE L WORD IS THE BEST ;)

  1. Peggy Peabody (the mother) is described several times during the course of the show as an heiress, meaning that the wealth has been passed down from her ancestors. The family has established The Peabody Foundation, which provides funding for the arts. Early in the 2nd season of the show, you may remember that Bette applies for a Peabody grant for the CAC, which she works for. Helena Peabody was the president of the foundation before it the foundation was sold to Paramount and she was fired.

  2. Helena got her money from her mother but she also took on some of the family business which is art collecting like her mother. I want to I hear about other charcters ect....and I get jelous I can't see it I hafta wait to rent it at block buster.

  3. I agree!!! Love Love Love that show! Helena did get her money from her mother. (Hence the season she gets cut off) Peggy is a art collector/ Philanthropist.

Oh yeah, she cut Helena off in Season 3 to teach her responsibility.
