What's Igor doing wrong?

He's been pounding some forehands into the net. Why is that? I'm thinking maybe Rafa is putting a different spin on the ball to cause the netters?

Igor needed to play more aggressively at the net. He's not going to win the rallies against someone as steady from the baseline as Rafa.

He needed to put more pressure on Rafa by coming forward when he gets a chance, especially when he hits a deep shot that Rafa has to chase down.

It was a great second set for Igor but once he got to the tiebreak, there was no way he was going to beat Nadal. Nadal plays the tough points tougher and he had been holding his serve much easier than Igor.

He choked. He was smoking in the 2nd set, but then at the tie break, he totally choked.

Yeah Nadal has changed his game up for the hardcourt season. He said so in the interview he played a terrible 2nd round against levine even tho the score was one sided it was a tough encounter 6-4 6-2. He`s playing much better tonight against Igor by coming to the net also and mixing up his shots. I hope he wins the tournament i know u must be upset about roger losing wimby and against gilles simon....! I wouldnt worry he should be back and prepared for the us.
