What's Jazz/funky? ?

My friend told me about this dance course. A Jazz/Funky dance class but I don't know what it is and she doesn't have a very good explanation of it.

Please help me!

Jazz funk is a combination of jazz and hip-hop. It's new this year at my dance studio.

Have you ever done modern dance before? modern is similar to jazz, so if you have done it it's kind of like that. Basically, Jazz is quite technical dance, with a lot of isolation moves, but very rhythmic, and is also very creative and physically demanding. You need a good sense of rhythm, good timing and good ability to "feel" the music. It's a lot of fun, try it :]

It's a mix between jazz and hip hop. The style hits moves hard. It's not being graceful or pretty. It's about getting down into the floor.
