What's MORE important Calories or Fat?

when you go to look at the nutrition facts what is more important calories or fat?beacuase i reall don't know.Thanx!

  1. First of all, if you are looking at nutrition facts on a box or can of processed food, forget what you see.  Much of it is not correct and no one is checking.  Additionally, processed food is what causes heart disease and you should avoid it at all costs.  Watching calories for calories sake without understanding how calories are used in the body is useless.

    The fat tissue in your body called adipose tissue makes a hormone called leptin.  This hormone regulates how the hypothalamus gland generates the speed of your metabolism.  If you eat low fat and your fat stores start getting depleted due to this, the leptin released tells your body to SLOW down your metabolism because it thinks you are starving; and you are!  Not eating fat is ludicrous and is being promoted as how you lose weight.  This only works when you STARVE yourself and all you have to do is watch those 3rd world pleas for money to feed the starving children of Ruwanda to realize you too can be skinny.

    We all metabolize foods differently.  One diet does not fit all.  In fact, you need to do a metabolic typing to determine how your body metabolizes food FIRST before attempting any weight loss.  Then you need to eliminate all the BAD fats like those found in fried foods, trans fats, hydrogenated oils, and ALL vegetable oils like Soybean, Canola, Cottonseed, and Corn oils you buy in the Mausoleums where dead food is held in state (super markets that are not really super at all).

    You need to learn to eat good fats and to ignore those so called "food experts" that are nothing more than "hired guns" of the food industry that are promoting junk.  

    You need to get your calories primarily from fats, not grains.  Not enough calories will trigger that low metabolic problem and the wrong kind of calories will cause you to plateau and become very frustrated with the process.  Most of all, do NOT listen to those crazies promoting those weight loss gimmicks that are just more starvation techniques that lead to the need to take more of it.

  2. Both are equally important.  Usually the caloric count is taken from the fat content.  If you are just counting calories and don't care what type they are then the total caloric count is most important.
