Question:

What's REALLY in a Frutista Freeze?

Well, I tried one of the little suckers at a Taco Bell not too long ago. I took one sip and swallowed, though something didn't seem quite right. The syrup and sweetness was there, but they promised all natural ingredients, right?

Really, I want to know one question: what is either the Strawberry or Mango Frutista Freeze? For a slush, they taste rather carbonated. Is there carbonation in the drinks?

  1. I'm really curious what they're made of too. They're definitely too sweet to be healthy. I haven't tried the mango but the strawberry tasted like strawberry flavored soda in heavy syrup. At first I thought they added soda accidentally, fizzy.

  2. Don't even consider what the ads say about real ingredients. Go by the facts, there's 59 grams of sugar in one 16 ounce cup of the stuff, which ,means there is high fructose corn syrup in it, which makes it cheaper to make. The strawberries are freeze dried and packed in preservatives.  Also, there is no dietary fiber in it, and if there was real fruit it would absolutely have to have, some dietary fiber. So it is obviously a mixture of corn syrup, water, fruit juices, and sugar. So it's pretty much all artificial, unless you think corn syrup is natural.
