What's Salou like?

Question

Me&3 friends are going there next week. Just wondering if people have any tips? And we're thinking of going to Barcelona, should we go bus or train?? We're staying in the Salou Suites. Anyone have any recommedations for clubs or restaurants?! Any help would be great! :D

I got to Salou every year and its great!!

I actually stay in the  La Pineda earlier (Estival Park) and it is the perfect location. It is less than a 5 minute walk to the beach and Aquopolis waterpark. Also along the beach front there are a large number of bars and restaurants. Also a short bus ride away is Port Aventura. Here there is the Costa Caribe water park and the Universal Studios theme park so a couple of days can be spent here easily!!!

If you are wanting good clubs and nightlife i have to say Barcelona is the place to go!! And all i would suggest is spend the whole night in Barcelona and party until the very early hours of the morning........ then simply wait around a little time for the 1st train back to Salou.... then just take a day by the pool or at the beach to recover ^_^ A return train fare from Salou to Barcelona cost me about 17 euros, so is well worth it, and although Salou does have some good nightlife, it is unmatched by that of Barcelona!!!

been twice as it was soo good ...fab beach..great theme park dont miss it ..went to aquapolis water park great day...great places to eat murphys irish bar,fab brekkie...christy mcgraths irish bar live music everynite,the rio grande.. tex-mex steaks and ribs lovely and hot...the texas embassy ..fab dinners....kiss disco. crows nest another nite club..raffertys pub..the guinness tarvern..the mucky duck...chaplins is a must....chippies lovely fish and chips just like home..uncle sams ..pricey but lovely ..

we found salou so good we didnt even get to barcelona !buses would be cheaper than train i wud say..train leavin salou 8.37 will get u there at 10.00 so not too long .check bus stops for their time tables..hope u have a good as time as we did...and check out the fab beach ..its heaven...

its very commercialised and very built up, a bit like benidorm, but if you are young then you should enjoy it, there will be plenty of clubs, but be sure not to take too much money out with you at night, there are pick pockets

Hi, I stayed there a couple of years ago, but I went as a family the salou suites are spotless, the pool is medium... You are in the heart of Pubs and the clubs are only up the road... Good fun!!
