I've never been there. I usually go to the resorts on the Yorkshire coast as I live near Brid. I thought I might nip down the coast for a change.

  1. Do you have children?

How will you get about walk/bus/car?

Skegness is mainly full of chip shops and tourist shops.

The main attraction being the beach, theres often donkeys and bouncy castles on the beach too.

Lots of arcades so get the 2p's out the piggy bank (i love the 2p pushers)

Theres a bowling alley, kids play area (captain kids and a few play parks too)

    Crazy golf and a museum.

Ingoldmells is further up the coast.  A theme park of sorts which if free to get in but you have to buy tokens to get on the rides (tip - by the local newspaper skegness standard, coz if you buy £18 worth of tokens you get another £18 for free)

Also theres a massive outdoor market (still believed to be the biggest in Europe)  All the stalls tend to sell exactly the same kinda stuff, either cheap clothes, household good/sunglasses etc)

If you have a car and are willing to drive abit there is also other places dotted  in and about the county, Stock car racing, farms and adventure lands etc.

Oh also at skegness there is a seal life centre (called Natureland) im an adult and I still love it after all these years, and theres an even better farm (called Hardys) at ingoldmells.  Both are ful days out and good fun too.

Bot as up market as say whitby etc, but worth a try i reckon

  2. Skegness is ok if used as a base to tour around the rest of Lincolnshire - but having said that, if you have never been, you may enjoy the change of scenery!!!  Don't forget, it's bracing!!!
