What's The Cheapest Way By Air To Get To Uncasville, CT?

Question

I need to get to Uncasville, CT in December for a concert. I want to arrive there December 1 (my bday!) and leave December 3rd.

I am willing to fly into a nearby airport and travel by train, bus or car to Uncasville, CT.

I'm not too familiar with the East coast. I've only gone to NYC once.

I will be flying out of Kansas City International (airport code MCI)

I just don't know where to begin! I tried Southwest, but they don't fly to Uncasville and I don't know what's close enough to travel around there.

If you could help me, that would be awesome.

Fly to Hartford, CT or Providence, RI and then rent a car (or check to see if Mohegan Sun has a shuttle van from either).  Either way, the drive is probably no more than an hour in either case.

I assume you are going to the arena at Mohegan Sun?  I've been there.  Very good place to see a concert.  The gaming, food, and drink there are all very good.

Connecticut is not a very big state, so no airport in the state  would be (Hartford would be the main one) will be very far away.

Also look at flying to NYC airports, JFK or LGA (probably cheaper, certainly a lot more flight choices.)

You can't fly to Uncasville. It is about an hour and 10 minutes from BDL, Bradley International Airport, which is the only major airport in Connecticut.
