What's Vans Warped Tour like?

I'm planning on going to Vans Warped tour with a bunch of friends and it'll be our first. What's it like? Do you just enter and walk around to the stages and stuff? Outdoor? How many people will be there? I tried getting tickets off of ticketmaster and it charges parking or something...it's not like a parkyourcarandwatch thing, is it? I'd like a brief description of the event and what you do. Also, where's the best place to get ticekts?

Its hot, sweaty,smelly and amazing! There are a ton of people there, and it is 100% about the music, people just coming and having a good time and sharing there music with the world, stay hydrated though it does get hot outside!

Warped Tour is sweaty, hot, crowded mess. In a good way of course. You enter and basically wander around to find your favorite bands. It's not a park and watch anything. You enter through the gates. It is outdoors. There will be A LOT of people there, of every age, every style.

Make sure you check the big board that has all of the times and stages where all the bands are playing, you don't want to miss anything.

I purchased tickets off of ticketmaster, and they were expensive. Almost $50. Try livenation or directly from the warped website.

It's a lot of fun. There are like 6 stages and all the major bands perform on the big stages while smaller up and coming bands perform on the smaller stages. Their are TONS of booths selling clothes and other c**p. You walk around and watch the bands and stuff. Food and drinks are expensive so bring your own. Buy tickets on ticketsmaster. The parking charge thing is for PREMIUM PARKING. Which is if you want to park in an area where you can get in and out of the warped tour quickly. There will be a LOT of people there. But I know in your mind you think it's gonna be overwhelmingly od'd on people. And it is. But it's not that bad ahah. People are generally nice but in the pit some people go crazy and slam into each other so watch out there. If you want to go in the pit and stay safe go to the very front. the very back. or the sides

its amazing. you walk around and go to the stage that the bands you wanna see are at. theres specific times for each band too. its hot so drink water. and the parking is just so you can park its not a park and watch thing
