Viacom is a media company that owns many television networks and film studios. VH1, MTV and even Blockbuster video stores are all owned by Viacom.

YouTube users love to complain about Viacom because Viacom made YouTube take down all their videos that were violating Viacom's copyright.

Viacom was legally in the right, and the YouTube posters *were* in violation of the law. They did not own the rights to the videos they were uploading.
