My sister has a Black dalmation Molly fish and since yesterday, it wont leave the ground. It's still breathing but its now hiding in an ornament put in the tank. We figured yesterday that if it was dying, it would have been dead by now.

Help please!!

thanks

  1. its just stressed out keep and eye on it and also check the water parameters a.s.a.p

  2. What we would do with our sick fish was either take it to a vet or flush it but we only flushed it if the vet said there was no chance of it liveing

  3. IDK

  4. Did you pick the one who is active? If you didn't that will  be the problem...or it was in the plastic bag too long when you were going home or smthin. It is probaly resting...if it is still on the ground....it could be the same thing that happen to my fish that is natural....for like 3 or 4 days....i think....just give us more info when is still alive.

  5. Had a similar situation happen to me. I thought to my fish was sick or dying too. It was staying at the bottom of the tank and hiding in our castle. The next morning I had babies everywhere. Keep a watch on it and you may want to get a breader tank to go in your tank if she is pregnant. It is too late after they have the babies to do anything and the female will eat her own babies.

  6. balloon mollys require a little salt in the water, only a tablespoon of salt per 5 gallons. Also, try to feed it spirunela [i dont know if im spelling that right] because its swim bladder might have busted. Spirunela might help.
