Question:

What's Wrong With This Picture???

I was a teen mother, I had my son when I was 18. Now I'm 21 & he is 3.

When I had my son, I had already graduated high school & was in my first year of college. I never stopped, during my labor & recovery I took my classes online. I graduate this June & start Medical School this fall. I have gotten nothing but exceptional grades through out my college career.

Financially, I have always worked full time to maintain a decent life for myself & my son.

I work hard, I am getting an education to better my life & provide all that I can for my son.

BUT! Because I make $117 more a month than what is considered "poverty level" in my state, they give me NO HELP what-so-ever.

Is this what I deserve? I mean, does the mom that doesn't work and sit on her lazy behind, no school, uses her welfare check to get her nails done really deserve the help more than I do? Off my tax dollars?

s***w YOU UNCLE SAM!

  1. Welcome to "Corporate America".   Try and get fewer hours, to just under the poverty level, and then see what you get offered in the way of help.  And take everything that is offered....you've earned it, believe me.  Good luck too, you deserve it after working so hard.  And of course, God Bless you and your son!!!

  2. You're not alone

  3. I couldn't agree with you more. Most people use welfare checks for beer and cigarettes and the people that actually need it NEVER qualify. I'm in the same boat as you honey.

  4. Well, you could show some more cleavage.

  5. where the father?

  6. UNCLE SAM IS A g*y A SS f*g!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  7. Man, that really sucks but i think all you can do is work harder and pull out of your situation (no pun intended)  :( sorry to hear of such troubles.

  8. That is soooo stupid!  Something is terrably wrong with this government!  Maybe you should ask for a demotion of 117 less a month.  The jerks!!!  Well, I'm proud of you I'm pregnant myself at 27 I can't imagine what you have gone through I mean college was difficult enough with out a baby.  So good for you and good luck to you.  If I was rich I would send you money.

  9. Nope, not right, but your a good Mom in my book...

  10. i was listening to a talk show yesterday and hillary wants to take 80% of what is called passive income, that is income like royalties for something you made

some of the women have about 100 to 300 a month coming in on royalties for stuff as simple as baby care items and they were complaining that if they lose that income to taxing, they will be on  the streets, they are in same situation you are in.

the worse news is that obama wants to increase taxes even more.

i'm not a big supporter of mc-cain, i see no leadership qualities in him, the only thing is that he will extend the tax cuts we are currently enjoying.

if they are lifted as the democrats are wanting, average taxes will go up 2000 per family next year.

i'm basically retired due to a military injury. i get no compensation (HEY IF YOUR READING THIS, ANYBODY, STAY OUT OF THE RESERVES, IF YOU GET INJURED YOU ARE ON YOUR OWN) sorry, just a warning to others out there... as i was saying, i'm basically retired, i can't work longer hours or more strenous work. i used to cut trees but can't do that anymore. i owned my own company.

i don't qualify for any benefits, wrong s*x, wrong race, wrong color.

working people of all sexes, colors and races suffer

welcome to the land your grandfathers fought to make a better place to all and that socialism is rapidly destroying.

wish i had to money to pay for your education. it was a doc that kept me from dying, paid for him out of my pocket

  11. Never rely on the government to help solve any of your problems.

Always consider them as a contingency.

  12. how the h**l. what medical school you going to. you are lying over  my grandmother die body you  areeee only 21 years old. how the h**l are you going to start medical school. you are from miami.you just want free welfare.

  13. d**n Sam Share the Yams!

  14. Wow, that really sucks, :(

It's unfournate that people like you get screwed from the governement; but that's what the governement does..I can't believe 117 dollars isn't considered poverty level.. Maybe you could move to the state that does give out welfare, or move to Canada :D  it's not so bad as people make it out, i live there :P

  15. I agree with you.  I wish there was some type of help for you...

Keep up the good work and good luck....

  16. HELLO!!      LISTEN UP!!

    STOP BLAMING THE GOV'T!!

You are looking at it from completely the wrong angle!

You didn't go to medical school to make a little more than poverty level - did you?!

NO you didn't - the hard work - the blood sweat and tears you endured will eventually pay off!

The deadbeat who sits on her A SSS all day, collecting  welfare checks, will always be a deadbeat who sits on her .... and will never have a FUTURE! You will !

And if you really want  gov't assistance, claim a couple of more people on your taxes!

  17. no it's not fair. this is one of the biggest problems with america. but not everyone that gets assistance is lazy either. i hate america, you with me?

  18. F*ck Uncle Sam!LMAO!I love this question!Yea the government is screwed up...Not much we can do about it.You've been doing well for you and your son so far,I'm sure you'll  be able to get through.Good luck!

  19. congratulations to you and keep up the hard work

I saw this on a bumper sticker -

"keep working, millions on wellfare depend on you"

  20. Girl I know it sucks! That's why it get's on my nerves that some women uses wel fare money to get high and scream at there kids when they get out of there room! Isn't that evil! c**p that pisses me off! I dont know if you have CHIPS in your state but having CHIPS help a little! If you son isn't on medicaid! Food stamps is so freakin hard to get.. but what about WIC, I mean they give you milk, eggs, juice, it's diffrent in some states!

Anyways, good luck with your med school, it takes courage girl, it's ganna be a hard and bumpy raod, but in the end it'll pay off and your son will be proud, cuz he is the reason of you doing this! Good Luck!

  21. trust me, there's nothing wrong with that picture
