What's YOUR horse's name?

What is your horse [or horses] named?

What breed and what's the reason behind their name?

I've had four horses total.

Bandit - Appaloosa. I guess my dad named him that.

Mystery - Welsh Pony Section B, white. I don't know what her registered name is, but she's a WP show champion in Texas :D The breeders gave her that name.

Alias - Quarter Horse, palomino. His registered name was supposed to be Apollo's Alias after the Sun God because he was sort of a reddish tint, but his dam is not registered and the owner didn't feel like it.

Sooltan - Arabian, chesnut. The only horse I have now, reg. name is EH Sooltan. The breeders gave him that name, but I assume it's a play on "Sultan", like an Arabian leader/king person. I call him Sool [soul] for short.

We recently sold Mystery and Alias [against my will, but honestly it was for the better since I'm going to college this fall].

the horse i lease's name is Monte, the funny thing is that his name was Montana before he came to the barn but since we already have a horse named Montana we shortened it to Monte. Also my dog's name is Blue Sky Montana (Monty for short)  so both my horse and my dog have the same name! its a small world:)

My Paint is "Lizzie" named after a "lot lizard" (truck stop hooker for those that don't know)

My mother in law is married to a truck driver, and my husband is a truck driver. When I brought Lizzie home, she was quite the looker for our two geldings...she had them both wrapped around her finger...hence the name. (mother in law named her)

Color Me Satin is my National Show Horse mare. Her barn name is Mimi, and she had both of those names when I bought her.  Color Me because she is a pinto, and the name Satin runs in her bloodlines.  Her colt Aiden, is Admissible Evidence.  He is NSH/TB/DWB. I named him that because I am a law person, and since he was a surprise baby, once he was born he became admissible evidence that my mare was pregnant. =)

I had a quarter horse Broad mare, "midnight Jill", Arabain Stallion, "Malburn Supreme" And My dear Grade AQH,  name was "Dent", (his Father's name was "Fender Bender")

Retired, Polo Horse name was "Duke".

Blondie - Palamino paint.  Named by her color

Joker - Bay.  Born on April fools day

Coco - Breederstock paint.  Named by her coco color

Patches - Shetland pony.  Named by his black and white patches

Mustang- Dusty Boots, There was a rodeo place that my grandpa use to ride at called Dusty Boots.

Thoroughbred- Lacey's Ballroom Blitz, Just love that song lol

Dante - TB Mare - came with this name, it's based off her registered name

Rio - Mustang gelding - wanted something Spanish to go with his spanish blood

Soleil - Palomino Appendix mare - soleil is french for sun - was sticking with the foreign language theme, and it suited her color (she's very dark, almost an orange color)

Dudley wasn't his original name, one of his millions of last owners changed it for the millionth time. I am not fond of it but I don't like to change horse names.

Tuckleberry Finn (Tucker): A welsh cob cross, something that maybe was gaited, we don't honestly know. He's a gorgeus chestnut with a mane with black and white hairs so it looks grey. I have NO idea who gave him that name, but it always produces a chuckle when we are announced at show. :D

Rain or Tikis Music : a stockbred paint, we named her rain because her real name was rainbow, but it didn't fit her right!

my dumb uncle had an Arabian named Imp, an Appaloosa named Pretty Girl, and a Mustang named Girdy. I have no clue why they thought of those ugly names, but oh well, he is stupid.

I called the Arabian, 'Imp' I called her Lady. I made her name longer actuqally. Her new name is Impressive Lady. =D

Sunny - hes an irish sports horse and i named him sunny because you have to smile when you say it :) At least with my accent anyway :) im from northern ireland btw lol

Teak- qh/arab, sorrel. she came with the name, but they told us they named her that because her color looks like teak wood.

Chrome- qh, gray. came with the name, but she told us that she'd always wanted a gray horse to name chrome, so once hse got her she named her that.

Tulsa (mom's)- paint, chestnut tobiano. came with the name. we bought her from our trainer, and she named her that cuz i guess she thought she looked like it and was a cool name too.

I don't have a horse but I ride and take care of one of my trainer's horses, so he's kind of like mine but kind of not.

Anyways his name is Luigi. He is a 17 hand Westphalean (a kind of warmblood) gelding. He was given to my trainer with that name, it is his registered name, I guess they just chose it for no particular reason. We do dressage.

Name the puppy Hypee.

My dog's name is Moonshine's Cajun Shadow.  His Dad's name was Moonshine Willie, and his Mom's was Rainy Mae's Cajun Belle.  I just call him Shadow though.
